TIRE ROTATIONS,

MOUNTS & BALANCES

WHY YOU SHOULD ROTATE, MOUNT AND BALANCE YOUR TIRES?

When you get a new set of tires or wheels, the first thing you should do is mount and balance your tires. It’s important to get this done because having unbalanced tires can lead to additional problems that you don’t want to deal with, including advanced tire wear and vibrations at increased speeds.

Regular tire rotations can help spot uneven tire wear early, a good rule of thumb is every 5,000 miles, depending on the vehicle. Going too long between rotations may result in a wear pattern that can’t be fixed, no matter where the tire is moved on the vehicle. These wear patterns could result in the need for new tires sooner than expected.

Smooth driving is a balancing act that requires getting the tires and wheels to work without any problems or irritating vibrations. Car wheels and tires are usually not perfectly round, even when they are brand new. Their weight often isn’t distributed evenly, so they may be heavier in spots. That is why it is important to have your tires balanced in order to prevent any problems.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The process can be expected to be done in about half an hour, getting your tire mounted, rotated and getting balanced, checking your tires' air pressure, with a visual check of important safety systems.
